Thursday, January 24, 2008 The name for the newest James Bond film has been announced today. The 22nd film, previously known only as “Bond 22”, will be called “Quantum of Solace“. EON Productions who are producing the film made the announcement today at Pinewood Studios, where production for the film has been under way since last year. The name of the film was inspired by a short story (of the same name) from For Your Eyes Only by Bond creator, Ian Fleming. The film will be the second for star Daniel Craig, who first starred in Casino Royale in 2006, taking over from Pierce Brosnan. Producer Michael G. Wilson has previously said that the film will continue “literally an hour after” Casino Royale’s conclusion. Wednesday, February 18, 2009 The United States auto manufacturer Chrysler, which has been badly affected by the ongoing recession, has asked the US government for an additional US$5 billion in aid on top of the four billion it has already received, saying that it plans to fire three thousand employees. At the end of last year, the auto maker had just over 54,000 employees, meaning that the layoffs will equal about six percent of its total workforce. In addition, Chrysler will cut the Chrysler Aspen, PT Cruiser, and Durango from production. Another automaker, General Motors (GM), announced that it seeks $16.6 billion in loans from the government, in addition to the $13.4 billion that it has already received. GM plans to lay off 47,000 employees and close five factories. GM says that it might need as much as $30 billion from the US Treasury Department, an increase over their previous…

Here’s An Opinion On: Work Permits & Visa Agent Papua New Guinea By David Beart What are family values? When politicians leap to the podium and begin talking about restoring family values, which values are they talking about? Family values can mean many things to different people, and so leaving family values in the hands of politicians means exactly what? Some attribute family values to the basic biblical principles while others focus family values on discipline and the responsibility factors of becoming an adult. Many people claim that today’s parents are too soft on kids, and that society has become over sensitive to children. Some believe that spanking your child in public is a parental right while others believe that spanking is abusive and teaches fear and violence. Who is right? Some interpret the meaning of family values to be the value of family, as in traditional families with a…

Here’s An Opinion On: Top Nose Surgeon For Celebrities In New York Submitted by: Bruce Rehlaender, Ph.D. A major disadvantage of postoral delivery is that blood flow from the intestine leads into the portal vein which flows directly to the liver. This leads to the phenomenon of first pass clearance, in which drug is metabolized and/or excreted by the liver before it can reach the general circulation. Other routes of administration circumvent this direct flow to the liver and may have other specific advantages. Sublingual or Buccal Administration: Buccal or sublingual delivery is typically used for relatively potent drugs that are readily absorbed but undergo extensive first pass clearance. Specific dosage forms designed for the buccal cavity include sublingual tablets, buccal sprays, and buccal patches. These are not as readily accepted as postoral tablets but are still non-invasive and patient friendly. Technically a dosage form for buccal administration has a…

Monday, January 16, 2006 Israeli media is reporting that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon opened his eyes for the first time since he suffered a major stroke on January 4, 2006. However, hospital officials said the reports were generated by the Sharon family’s “impression of eyelid movement, whose medical significance is unclear.” “He was listening to a tape of his grandson and you could see tears in his eyes for a matter of seconds before he closed them again,” a doctor treating Sharon told AFP news agency on condition of anonymity. Army Radio, citing unidentified close associates of Sharon, say the Prime Minister could “recognize people around him.” However, hospital officials state that it is “too early to tell whether the development represented a significant improvement or was just a temporary reflex.” Sharon had undergone a tracheotomy on Sunday to help with his breathing and to help prevent infection from his…

Here’s An Opinion On: Opt Status Health Plans In Usa You need to insure a number of important things in your life. You are required to have insurance for your car and your home in order to legally own and use that kind of property. It is also necessary to have health insurance and life insurance. There are a lot of other things you can insure, but these are the most important to have covered in case of an accident. The nature of insurance is to take care of you personally and financially if there is an accident. Sometimes people scoff at the idea they are paying hundreds and thousands of dollars yearly for something they may never use if they are a safe, healthy person. In the event something does go wrong however, coverage can save you from enormous costs, sometimes so expensive you could go into short or long-term…
